Taking a breather from the mayhem....

... that has been my life this week!! A manic party for a 6 year old, a tear-jerking school assembly, and a family visit to the dentist have been some of the highlights of this week... Add 2 days working and a morning in the craft shop, and that's about all my hours used up LOL. I did find a few spare hours to do some crafting however - thank goodness for pagekits and pagemaps, and my strange obsession with prior planning!!

I used a December 2006 pagemap for this LO, bazzill card, Scenic Route paper, some Paper Mania chipboard alphas painted and glazed (loving doing this right now :) ) and some Paper Mania buttons:) Jemma was convinced this lion was eyeing her up for his lunch!

This LO was inspired by the Scenic Route Kraft arrows cardstock that I used as a base - the photos were taken at the Families Airday held at Kinloss in 2006, we let our two have a go at the archery stand :)
The rest of the supplies I used - scraps of Scenic Route and Sassafrass Lass papers, strips of bazzill card, and Scenic Route chipboard alphas :)

Finally, this is the birthday card I made for Tom - using his favourite colour orange ;) The cowboy is a Sugar Nellie stamp coloured in with watercolour pencils :) Rest of the supplies are Sizzix paper, bazzill card and Anita's self adhesive ribbon. The 6 is Paper mania chipboard - yep you guessed it, painted and glazed !!!! Tom loves it :)

I haven't done any actual crafting this week, but spent yesterday planning 16 LOs (some DLOs, some SLOs) using pagemaps and scraplifting LOs from "Super Fast pages with 4x6 photos" a Creating Keepsakes book I got before Christmas. I have so many 4x6 photos, (well 4.5 x 6) that it seems a waste of money to print or order larger/smaller prints. Luckily I am quite handy at creative cropping LOL. So now I have planned the pages, and cropped the photos, I need to find card and papers to make up more page kits :) Yes, this can be time consuming, but when I get an hour spare to scrap, I can pull out a kit and the main part is done, and I can stick it all down, add some journalling and embellish :) That's why I am a speedy scrapper - I do lots of pre-planning LOL.
