Not alot of crafting going on...

... in fact not a lot of anything going on around here atm. Jemma has been off school for 4 days now, with high temperature and sore throat, and the diagnosis was suspected tonsilitis... But by the time I get her to see a doctor it appears to be clearing up by itself.... typical !

Me, well I am completely shattered by the end of the day, my energy levels have sunk to a low which I haven't seen in a long time, just hoping that its a short lived thing, and that next week will see me bounce back to normal:) Although the kids have their "easter" holidays next week for 2 weeks, no holiday for Mum I bet ;)

The only thing craft wise I have done this week is mount all my unmounted rubber stamps onto EZ mount - which took a while, and seriously hurt my hands! Very sticky stuff that, good job I didn't use my best scissors eh?!!

More layouts to share ...

... 2 more pages for my New Zealand album, which is filling up nicely now :)

I used a March 2008 pagemap for this one - and My Mind's Eye papers, some brown braid and a paper flower with a MM velvet brad in the middle. The title is a Lil Davis rub on :)

This LO, is based on a July 2007 pagemap, and features Jemma lying on a glass panel in the floor of the observation deck of the Sky Tower. I purposefully did not go anywhere near the glass bits, so the photo was taken by Mark - and even looking at it makes me feel a bit queasy, so I am glad the LO is finished and in the album :)
I used the rapidly depleting supplies in my January Scrapagogo kit for this one - MM noteworthy papers and bazzill card:) The small felt flower is also MM, and the large one I think I got many moons ago from Sarah's Cards... The ribbon is American crafts, and the title is Paper mania chipboard, painted and given a coat of Stickles :)

Life is very hectic right now, the Easter weekend was filled with easter parties, easter egg hunts, cinema visits and swimming lessons... And the odd snow shower, but not enough to stick (so have 2 sad small kids, and one disgruntled big kid...) But we are now under the weather another way, I think the whole family has the lurgy, and the one person who never gets sick is presently lying on the sofa watching SpongeBob.... Poor Jemma, but she is barking like a seal and had a temp of 39.4 earlier, so calpol and cough medicine are called for....
Hope you had a more peaceful Easter weekend :)

Taking a breather from the mayhem....

... that has been my life this week!! A manic party for a 6 year old, a tear-jerking school assembly, and a family visit to the dentist have been some of the highlights of this week... Add 2 days working and a morning in the craft shop, and that's about all my hours used up LOL. I did find a few spare hours to do some crafting however - thank goodness for pagekits and pagemaps, and my strange obsession with prior planning!!

I used a December 2006 pagemap for this LO, bazzill card, Scenic Route paper, some Paper Mania chipboard alphas painted and glazed (loving doing this right now :) ) and some Paper Mania buttons:) Jemma was convinced this lion was eyeing her up for his lunch!

This LO was inspired by the Scenic Route Kraft arrows cardstock that I used as a base - the photos were taken at the Families Airday held at Kinloss in 2006, we let our two have a go at the archery stand :)
The rest of the supplies I used - scraps of Scenic Route and Sassafrass Lass papers, strips of bazzill card, and Scenic Route chipboard alphas :)

Finally, this is the birthday card I made for Tom - using his favourite colour orange ;) The cowboy is a Sugar Nellie stamp coloured in with watercolour pencils :) Rest of the supplies are Sizzix paper, bazzill card and Anita's self adhesive ribbon. The 6 is Paper mania chipboard - yep you guessed it, painted and glazed !!!! Tom loves it :)

I haven't done any actual crafting this week, but spent yesterday planning 16 LOs (some DLOs, some SLOs) using pagemaps and scraplifting LOs from "Super Fast pages with 4x6 photos" a Creating Keepsakes book I got before Christmas. I have so many 4x6 photos, (well 4.5 x 6) that it seems a waste of money to print or order larger/smaller prints. Luckily I am quite handy at creative cropping LOL. So now I have planned the pages, and cropped the photos, I need to find card and papers to make up more page kits :) Yes, this can be time consuming, but when I get an hour spare to scrap, I can pull out a kit and the main part is done, and I can stick it all down, add some journalling and embellish :) That's why I am a speedy scrapper - I do lots of pre-planning LOL.

More bunnies, and a good scrap day...

...just how gorgeous are these stamps??? Had another play, and came up with these 2 cards :)

Next, my scrap day - I made sure the housework was done, and that there was enough food and milk in so that I didn't have to go out !! I came back from dropping the kids off, and shut myself away in the cubbie with my DAB radio on and scrapped to my little hearts desire, and these 3 LOs are what I produced :)

Climb, something Jemma does alot of, think she was a monkey in a previous life...

Used a pagemap for this one, from Jan 08 :) Card is bazzill, paper is Sassafrass Lass (again, I know LOL) a large flower, a crochet flower and the alpha stickers are BG:)

Our day at the Thermal Spa resort was an experience - it was a freezing winter day, so we thought the pools may be indoors, but no, they were all outdoor pools!! But the water was heated geothermally, so we didn't notice the cold at all - until you got out of course LOL

Used a Dec 2006 Pagemap for this one, Bazzill card, MME paper, Anita's self adhesive ribbon, PM buttons and the title is a PM chipboard alpha painted with acrylic and stickled :)

Finally, more bunnies, but not the cotton kind, these ones were Angora rabbits :) We went to a place called the Shearing Shed, expecting to find sheep, and was amazed to find rabbits:) We saw one being shorn, which looked uncomfortable for the rabbit, but we were assured they were quite used to it:) After having that coat taken off, I think the bunnies were relieved to feel a breeze and cool down LOL

No pagemap for this one - shock, horror - its all my own work :) The patterned paper is Creative Imaginations, the flowers are prima, PM buttons, and the title is Chunkidelic font with 3D glaze on top to make them shiny :)

So a productive day, 4 more pages for the New Zealand album, and nearly half way to the yearly total I set myself in January:)

Spiderman, bunnies and a distict lack of balance...

First off, Spiderman - Jemma actually LOL
Pagemap used - as always - Nov 07 I think.... Bazzill card, Sassafrass Lass papers, Scenic Route chipboard alpha and large bracket painted and stickled :), Heidi Swapp ghost star and chipboard heart. Still love the 6 x 12 pages....

Next, Jemma again, on a trip up to the top of the rock of Gibraltar :)
Used a Jan 08 pagemap for this, turned 90 degrees. Sassafrass Lass papers again, and lots of ribbon and rik rak and sequins :) The stars are Heidi Swapp, the title is Nouveau sizzix font, the button is PM.

Next the bunnies.... I got some fab Little Cotton Rabbit stamps from Funky Kits this week :) Soo cute aren't they? So I made a couple of cards using them :) The second one is winging its way down to Lancashire as we speak ;)

Finally the balance, or should I say lack of balance.... Found it quite hard again this week, trying to juggle everything, and feeling things getting on top of me again. I want to craft, cos that really saves my sanity, but then feel guilty doing it... Suppose its one of those things being a crafter, juggling everyday life with the urge to play with paper and glue... I have put aside Wednesday as a scrapping day, will see how much I get done :)
